Welcome to the department of Human Biology
The department of Human Biology is part of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences of Maastricht University. Our staff is responsible for teaching within several Bachelor's and Master's programmes of Biomedical and Health Sciences. Our research is embedded in NUTRIM (School for Nutrition, Toxicology and Metabolism) and is focussed on the role of nutrition and physical activity on metabolism, and the prevention and management of chronic diseases.
